Hope JR is a humanoid robot capable of walking, moving its arms, and performing complex tasks with 66 actuated degrees of freedom. Meanwhile, Reaky Mini is a smaller, more affordable unit that can interact with users through speech and movement, making it ideal for AI app development.

### Pricing and Availability
Hugging Face estimates Hope JR will cost around $3,000 per unit, while Reaky Mini will be priced between $250 and $300. The company plans to start shipping the first units by the end of the year, with an open waitlist for early access.

### Open-Source and Accessibility
A key feature of these robots is their open-source design, allowing developers to modify, rebuild, and understand their inner workings. Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue emphasized the importance of democratizing robotics to prevent dominance by a few large corporations with proprietary systems.

### Expanding Robotics Ambitions
This launch follows Hugging Face’s acquisition of Pollen Robotics earlier this year, which provided the necessary expertise to develop these robots. The company has been steadily growing its robotics portfolio, including the LeRobot platform for AI-powered robotics and the SO-101 robotic arm developed with The Robot Studio.
