Console Secures $6.2M to Automate IT Tasks with AI
The IT Help Desk Bottleneck
Getting locked out of your work account is frustrating enough without waiting hours for IT support. This common workplace headache inspired Andrei Serban to build Console – an AI-powered IT automation platform that’s just secured $6.2 million in seed funding from Thrive Capital.
From Security Startup to IT Automation
Serban previously led product at Rippling after his cybersecurity startup Fuzzbuzz was acquired in 2023. During this time, he identified a critical gap in IT workflow automation. “Help desk teams waste countless hours on repetitive tasks,” Serban explained. “We’re giving them an AI co-worker to handle the routine work.”
Fast Integration, Powerful Automation
What sets Console apart in the competitive AI help desk automation space? Lightning-fast deployment. While competitors require complex system overhauls, Console integrates with existing Slack workflows in weeks – not months.
“We’re not replacing your help desk,” Serban emphasized. “We’re augmenting it with AI capabilities that handle 50% of routine requests automatically.” The system knows each employee’s specific tech setup, from laptop models to app permissions.
Big-Name Backing and Customers
Thrive Capital’s investment signals strong belief in Console’s approach. “Since ChatGPT’s launch, we’ve believed AI could transform IT support,” said partner Vince Hankes, whose firm has backed OpenAI and other AI leaders.
Early adopters include:
- Scale AI
- Flock Safety
- Calendly
The Future of Workplace AI
Console’s ambitions extend beyond IT. The roadmap includes expanding into HR, finance and legal support automation. “We want to be employees’ first stop for any workplace request,” Serban said.
As businesses increasingly digitize operations, tools like Console demonstrate how AI copilots can boost productivity by automating routine tasks while keeping human expertise for complex challenges. This $6.2M funding round fuels the startup’s mission to reshape workplace support systems.
